I just found out I can't load modified or hacked system cards. Is there a way around this? If I assign them in the INI file, magicengine rejects it and defaults to built in CD routine. And if I load it manually through the rom "load" menu, it freezes like it's trying to read the CD. _________________ www.pcedev.net |

What are you doing to those poor System Cards?
There is no direct way to make ME recognize hacked System Cards but you can trick it by editing the games.idx file, the last number on a line is the CRC of the ROM, search the hacked ROM in the list and change manualy its CRC to the same one used by the System Card, you should then be able to load it from the 'load' menu. _________________ David Michel |

You can also hack the system cards to use cheats on CD games. It's not always stable on every game, however. _________________ http://www.chrismcovell.com |
