When I save state in CD games, after I quit and return to Magicengine, the program can't find any of my saves. How are we supposed to save our games? Also when I load some CD games it asks to use a system card v. 3.00 and doesn't let me play the game. Solutions? |

For the save state : Care to tell us what version of magic engine you're using ?
For the system card : We recommend using a real system card image for CD games because though Magic engine's system card emulation is pretty accurate, it's still not like a 'real' system card . You will need to search for such an image over the internet by yourself because we sadly can't give you a link. They are dead easy to find trust me... _________________ If you translate Pole Position in French with babelfish you get 'Position de Polonais'... I think it's hilarious... from a French point of view. |

For the save state problem, try this version of MagicEngine : http://www.magicengine.com/pce-ys4.zip it should fix the problem. _________________ David Michel |

I'm using version 1.0. I don't know what the problem was but it works now. I think that I was trying to load the game before the system 3.0 screen finished loading, and for some reason it doesn't work until after it loads.
The system card image did the trick. I noticed that sometimes the system card emulation does work. In those cases, should I still still go through the trouble of loading a system card image?
