You may need to locate and use the real system card images instead of those built into ME.

Magic Engine needs the ROM of a System Card (1, 2 or 3), which is the BIOS of the CD systems. It also provides a built-in System Card emulation called the Magic System, but this emulation is not perfect, which could explain your issues with this game.

Anyway, googling for "syscard3" should get you started.

Getting the registration key won't fix the problem, as Magic Engine's emulation is no better nor worse registered or demo. It might be an issue with the Magic System, but actually, I doubt it...it's more than likely because your video card can't keep up with that particular part of the game. Try switching drivers (if you're using DirectX, try OpenGL, and vice versa) or updating your system's graphic drivers. There are plenty of games that used to slow down in certain parts for me when I had a lesser system, so it's very likely to me that that's the real issue. But it doesn't hurt to have a real copy of the system card either... Very Happy

Also, here's a wee bit of trivia*:

If you use MagicSystem, you won't hear the PSG music during the "game over" sequence or on the "input password" screen.

Using the real SystemCard fixes this.

*which could be outdated by now Smile
