Hi Guys,
There seems to be something wrong with Vista and ME. It worked a few days ago, and I don't remember changing anything (a Windows update perhaps?)
But when I double click pce.exe I get: "PCE.EXE Initialization Error 8".
I tried changing the graphics driver from DirectX to OpenGL with no effect; also setting compatibility mode for XP SP2 and Win2000.
Here is the output from log.txt:

OK, do NOT use the most recent Intel graphics for mobile driver. I had to do a System Restore to get ME working again; I made the mistake of using (1) the new one from intel.com and then (2) the one from windows update.
I should have stuck with the Toshiba OEM one and will from now on.
Tip for Toshiba laptop owners! |

An additional tip for all Windows users:
Vista is garbage. Don't use it. _________________ Frozen Utopia

I had to spend about an hour to make it look and behave like XP but it is doable. Then, it's XP that eats more RAM.
Had no choice, was preinstalled on the laptop :-/
