Hmmm... I bought this MagicEngine thing just so I could play Mirai Shonen Conan... and now I see that it doesn't work. Has anyone been able to get it running? Me & my kid are huge fans of the old Anime series, we are dying to play this game! Please help!
Thanks in advance.....

I have ME 1.0, just downloaded it last week. I am running it on windows xp... I've tried it with a burned CD, and also using that Daemon virtual CD drive thing. No matter what I do the game crashes at the end of the little intro movie thing, even if you try to skip it. It's the same problem that I see mentioned here and there in old postings on this forum. But I also see later postings that say the bug was fixed. Let me know if there's other information that would help... |

Yes, the intro bug was fixed, but it's possible that it was reintroduced in v1.0 (this version has a completely rewritten emulation engine), try with the old version of MagicEngine (v0.99b5). _________________ David Michel |

hey thanks, that worked! But... it seems like the key I bought isn't working. I copied the KEY.DAT file from the 1.0 to the .99b5 folder but I'm still getting the 5-minute limit. Do I need a different Key? |

The keys are compatible but they don't have the same file name, rename your KEY.DAT file to PCE.KEY and all should be ok. _________________ David Michel |
