|
|
Hello all!
I am using one of those neat little converters that allow you to use your PSX or PS2 gamepads on your PC's USB plug...... It works great for EMU's such as Viva Nonno and MAME. Under WinXP, it does not need any additional drivers. The drivers it needs are already within XP.
Here is my issue: The PC-Engine pad has six buttons on its right-hand side and the PSX pad only has four. Needless to say, I'm missing two buttons.
Does anybody have any ideas about how I can configure Magic Engine to get around this problem?
I thought this would be a good config. However, when I tried it, I found it to be much too clunky:
PSX shoulder button R2 = PCE pad button #1
PSX pad circle = PCE pad button #2
PSX pad X = PCE pad button #3
PSX pad square = PCE pad button #4
PSX pad triangle = PCE pad button #5
PSX shoulder button R1 = PCE pad button #6
Any help that you can provide would be very greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to write back to me. I'll try that setup and let you know.

I use pretty much the same setup whenever I need 6 buttons (which is almost never though). I also use a PS2->USB adapter. _________________ Frozen Utopia
