|
|
I'm new to the forms, and let me start off by saying that ME is one of the best and most intuitive emulators I've ever used!
I'm having a problem adding images however. Like when you hit "Load Rom" and there's a big box to the left that has screenshots. How do I get nice screenshots into this box? I'd love to have cover arts available for each game I have. I currently have an Aero Blasters JPG image. I just need to know where to put the file or how to simply just get it onto the screenshots space box thingie?? Any help would be appreciated and I'll be good to go! |

You can take screenshots with the Backspace key. They will be stored by default in the Screenshots folder. Copy the ones you like to the Previews folder, and those will appear in the Load ROM menu.
If you look at the name of your screenshots, you will notice they are named after your ROMs with the suffix -001.png, -002.png, etc. You can add a game cover of your choice by renaming your scanned picture the same as your ROM with the suffix -000.png.
I can't remember if JPEG is supported, you'll have to try it for yourself. _________________ Kaminarimon HES Music Archive | Tokugawa Corporation | YouTube Channel |

Yeah...I couldn't get it to work. I only have support of JPEG. Oh well :/ It's either that or I didn't put it in the right place. I don't have a screenshot folder. I put all my roms in a folder in my documents though, if that means much. |

Winows paint can open jpegs and save pngs
Also your preview folder should be in the same directory as pce.exe |

Ok, thanks for the help so far! I have a Blazing Lazer-000 PNG image with that name. So now I don't know what a "preview folder" or PCE.exe is? I just wanna know where the PNG file should go? |

Open the folder/directory where you installed Magic Engine. You will see a couple of files (including pce.exe, which is the main executable) and some folders. If there's no folder named "Previews", just create one and put your screenshots there. _________________ Kaminarimon HES Music Archive | Tokugawa Corporation | YouTube Channel |

I'm making this sound so complicated It's still not working because I have my stuff for the emulator on my desktop but my roms in my documents. I made a preview folder in my desktop and put Blazing Lazers-000.png in it and still nothing showed up... |
