The sound output seems to click/pop when a channel's volume goes from muted to ON, or vice versa. This is evident while playing back some tracks in Ninja Spirit in the sound test, and more pronounced with interpolation enabled. Try downloading the .HES music file for Ninja Spirit and play it back using the Winamp VGM input plugin, it has far less popping noises in the output. Some kind of micro-volume ramping would solve this problem (similar to how click/pop reduction is done in MOD file playback).
Hey David, remember me emailing you about this 2 years ago?

You mean NezPlug, I believe. The VGM plugin doesn't support HES |

Hehehe, yes.
I have implemented a little fix about this problem in v1.0, this is not perfect but there are less pops now - they softer. _________________ David Michel |
