Hello to everyone,
it's great to hear that a Pc-Fx is being developed, the "white tower" was one of my dream machines back in '94
What are your favourite Pc-Fx games?
In no particular order:
Battle Heat
Chip Chan Kick (awesome music!)
Zeroigar
Zenki Fx
Tengai Makyo (awesome character design!)
Good luck for your project and keep on with the good stuff,
:: rebel_toy
PS: I think "Magic-FX" would be a perfect name for the emu |

Greetings Rebel_toy, just remember to login . _________________ If you translate Pole Position in French with babelfish you get 'Position de Polonais'... I think it's hilarious... from a French point of view. |

Greetings,
I didn't get to play much PC-FX games (about 10), but my favorite is definitly Der Langrisser FX.
Damn fine remake of Langrisser 2, miles away from all those bloody ports on various other consoles (ah, the Saturn version's 'go-ahead-and-make-coffee' loadings, oh joy).
I'm kinda sick of all the PC-FX' 'galge', in which games the main feature is some heroin's hair color. |

Upd, last time i forgot to log-in...
And of course i forgot to mention Team Innocent - The Point of No Return, i absolutely loved the mood of that game!
And yes, Danjuro, you're right, it's really boring all that pinkie heroine stuff related to the Pc-Fx... If somehow the Pc-Fx game library would have been a little bit more varied, well, it could have fought on the same level with Saturn and Psx back then.
Greets,

As far as the game system is concerned, it's much like Bio Hazard or Alone in the Dark - except that the characters are ugly 2D sprites instead of 3D meshes. However the game is not bad at all, the CG backgrounds are fab and the cut scenes (from none other than IG Production) are top notch. |

I believe the best 5 games are ...
BattleHeat...-the very first anime fighting game.
Little Riding Hood Cha Cha...-Excellent anime party boardgame with humor.
Tengai Makyo...-Hudson does it again with a near perfect anime fighter. Also extremely rare.
Fire Woman...-Action/STG game that has multiple endings and good music.
and the mother of all PC-FX games....MEGAMI PARADISE. FUN FUN! PURE FUN!!!
If you dont get this game your really missing out on the best PC-FX game ever. |

In my opinion, there are a couple of RPGs, strategy or action/adventure games which are quite good
- Miraculum, the last revelation
- Langrisser FX
- Team Innocent
- Last Imperial Prince
- Dragon Knight 4 (not too bad)
- Zenki (fighting game)
- ZeroIgar ( vertical shoot'em up)
Farland Story and Blue Breaker must surely be good games too.

thanks, man !
As soon as a PC-FX Emulator is available for real, I think the PC-FX Fan website will re-appear. i don't know the web address will be, but it should be a part of my personal website of this moment... |

I guess what you mean is the ISO, or BIN-CUE, since PC-FX games are CD-based. Really the game is still pretty inexpensive so I reccommend that you buy it via ebay or do a search for it. There are several places I have seen it for sale for under $40. You'll love owning the real thing, and at such a price, how could you not?
Hope this helps. |
