I am using PC engine v.99 (demo) and can get the game to start by booting from cd (copied). Now, the games works/begins with either "magic system 3.0" or "system card 3.0". The game begins with a small movie allthough there is no sound or music associated with it (i don't know if this is what is supposed to happen or if its another problem in its own right). Anyway, once I get to the section where I must select a player and enter a name I get stuck. I mean, nothing happens! All i can do is move up and down using the keyboard arrows but nothing else (actually i can turn the sound on/off and change all those option things using keys 1 - 9 etc...). My problem is, how do i actually begin the game. I tried pressing every single keyborad key, yet apart from the above mentioned changes, i cant progress from this "select player / enter name" screen. Does this game allow the use of a keyboard? If yes, could the problem be my keyboard? Is it the cd? Is it the emulator? This is such a stupid problem to have. Would appreciate some advice. Would my pce.ini file need any changes. If its any help, the return key on my keyboard accordingly acts as a "continue" button up until i reach this screen at which it suddenly has no influence.

You should have audio CD along with the intro. Check the previous posts for help on this topic.

Well, it mostly depends on the keys you assigned for buttons I & II. You configured your keys in the Magic Engine 'Config' menu, right?
The I button (say X) is for validation, the II button (say Z) is for cancelation. Once you've set the correct buttons, first you go to 'Name Entry'. Then you choose a player slot. Now you type your name via I button. When you're finished, you go back to the previous screen where you have to select End. Finally you choose your newly created character and there you go. |

Hi,
This is my first time on the fourm but I need some help guys. I have Dracula X on CD and play it on Magic Engine. It worked fine on my old computer that had WinME, digital CD sound, voice, sound FX and everything. I got me a new PC with WinXP home edition. First thing I did was download the new Magic Engine that had WinXP support. Well the game loads fine but I now do not have the Music from the CD or the voices for the intro movie or ending movie. Any advice guys I'll try to check this forum out ASAP but emailing me would work out better my email is fatenabu1@hotmail.com
Thanks Guys,
