I've downloaded a perfect Squaresoft74 iso/mpc rip of Macorss 2036 and burned it right. When I try loading it in any system card in Magic Engine 099 beta 3, it always freezes when I am about to start the stage. In magic system cards, it feezes after the cinema after the NCS Masaya opening, the cinema also doesn't have any picture, just audio. The game works in the emulator Yame, but my computer is running Yame really slow. Help is needed for this awesome shooter.

Are you sure that the ISO is burned correctly, with same track position/length as the original? This game works fine in MagicEngine.

To make sure your cd is correctly burnt , get PceRip and use it to generate the toc of your burnt cd.
You ll get a "cd.toc" file.
Open that file with notepad or any text editor and compare it with the "Cd-Toc.txt" file provided with the game.
If all infos match ,then you got a good burn.
If not , this may be why the game doesn't work properly.

It also happen sometimes , that games are correctly burnt , but some cdrom drive just can't read them properly.
David , how does Magic Engine behave when it encounter a reading error ?
Does it simply give up and which make the game crash or does it retry a certain amount of time ?.
I have some games that play fine using my cdr drive but just won't load using my dvdrom drive.

It gives up when it encounters an error, it doesn't retry. But it passes the error to the game, so eventualy some game may retry to read.

I tried it out with the latest Beta 5 and it works fine Dancing . The problem is I am having that annoying problem where it's in demo mode even when I put the pce.key in the same folder Brick wall . I haven't tried ripping that text from the CD to compaire it with the other text to see if I burned it right because I can just play it in beta 5 fine.
