While playing Dungeon Explorer 2 the music plays fine but there are no sound effects and during the cinemas there is no voice. What could cause this?

Here are my system specs and log file information:

Windows ME
Sound Blaster Live X-Gamer

Hi,

Which music are you talking about? CD or PSG? Are the voices read from the CD or from the PC Engine soundchip?

Try using a real Super System Card ROM instead of the built-in Magic System (which has problems with everything related to audio).

Thanks. I was able to fix my problem by using a real System Card 3.0 ROM. All audio works fine now.
