I took pictues of what happened, http://briefcase.yahoo.com/sylvia_rayne

In Dracula X (as you can see in the picture), in certain areas, Richter turns blue. I'm not sure why, and it certainly didn't happen on my Duo.

In Popful Mail, some screens of FMV are scrambled. I'm not sure if it does this when using the Arcade Card, since I don't have the ROM for that. Speaking of which, is there any difference in the game with the Arcade card? I used the Arcade Card on my Duo, and just ran it normally on the emulator and I can't tell a difference. Then again, it has been about two years since I got to play the game so I may have forgotten.

Also, Dragon Ball Z seems to not work right. It loads the first few FMVs, but crashes when going into the main game.

Also, is there any way to turn off that annoying blurring effect? I'm looking to use the emulator to replaced my deceased Duo. Ironically, the TV mode works better on my monitor, when I take off the scanlines, since that mode doesn't blur. The normal video mode, I use to output to my TV because it goes to a more full screen (maybe a little distorted, but it looks nicer on the TV than the other mode). Granted, switching between the two modes is easy, but it would be nice to see it on my monitor totally full screen and not blurred. I know the blurring effect is to make things look a little less pixelated, but it gives me a headache.

Other than that, the emulator seems to work great, and I really got to see a lot despite the time limit. I haven't tried all of my games yet, but I'll get around to the others eventually. All of my games are real too, so any problems I have aren't because they're burned or anything. I've had most of my games since before they got rare/popular. Well, maybe my only rare ones are the three mentioned above, and maybe the Valis series. A friend of mine borrowed my Duo about a year and a half ago, and he broke it Sad I've had the thing for god only knows how long, and someone else has it for a few days and it dies. Honestly, I'd rather pay the money for the emulator than a new duo right now. It's a heck of a lot cheaper, and with the TV output it's almost as good. I had two card games..well, technically one. Neutopia, and the Arcade Card.

Your folder is empty...?

It's a known problem with the current versions of Magic Engine.

There is no ROM dump for the Arcade Card, since it's 'basically' a RAM extension with a few BIOS functions. Magic Engine automatically emulates the Arcade Card when a native ACD game is detected. However, the Arcade Card code is not activated if the game is an SCD/ACD game (like Popful Mail) - it always run in Super System Card mode. That should be user selectable with the forthcoming ME 1.0 Wink

Regarding Popful Mail, I guess the game doesn't make dramatic use of the Arcade Card. The only real advantage provided by the Arcade Card for this specific game must be the accelerated loading time (most of the data are loaded at startup in the larger Arcade Card). Quite logically, you shouldn't see much of a difference with Magic Engine. Your current hardware and CD-ROM speed certainly fill the gap...

If you're talking about the Bilinear Filtering option, that should be easy:

Code:
  ;
  ; bilinear filtering
  ; --
  ;   y -> enable
  ;   n -> disable [default]
  ;
  ;   (this option doesn't work with all the video card)
  ;

filtering=n

If that doesn't work though, it means the blurring effect is caused by your graphic card and driver. GeForce boards have this 'feature' hardcoded and, to my knowledge, you can't get rid of it (except by using very dirty tools to access the hidden functions of your card).

Do you really want to open the Pandora box? Be aware of the fact that we won't be able to provide you with any kind of support if something turns wrong. Ask on the Guru3D forums instead!

I guess you have to be logged into Yahoo to see the pictures. Oh well, I guess I forgot about that. Either that or it forgot they were there, and I'm too lazy to see what the deal is there.

My blurring problem is fixed....sadly. Normally it would be a good thing, but my new GeForce 4 whateverablahblahblah fried this morning. Now I'm back on my old Voodoo 3 card. Brick wall No more TV output for the time being. Sad Worst $150 I ever spent, I just bought the card on Sunday. I've had this Voodoo 3 since...well...since I've had my computer. It was still a good card in my last system, but now it's a bit outdated.
