I've tested the new version, but it doesn't work with my cd reader Pioneer DR-944 and my cdrw Yamaha 8424. I have installed ASPI 4.70 drivers from adaptec, but it doesn't work. Nevertheless, if I use Daemon tools virtual cd-rom, it works well. Any idea to solve the problem? |

Zyloj, e-mail me the log.txt file to info@magicengine.com
logically the new version should be able to detect all your drives, even without the ASPI DLL. _________________ David Michel |

Give a try to AspiTest, it's a utility similar to AspiCheck but it allows you to safely modify your registry in order for the hidden ATAPI support to be enabled in your ASPI drivers.
You can find AspiTest here :
http://www.macdisk.com/downlen.php3
Anyway, you should be able to run your CDs directly under XP since the latest version of Magic supports the native SPTI drivers. Didn't test it, though _________________ Kaminarimon HES Music Archive | Tokugawa Corporation | YouTube Channel |
