I'm a newbie, and a clueless one at that. I take it that the PCFX emulator is an emulator of a console based upon the TurboGrafix-16/PC-Engine (like the SuperCD). I'm wondering how the emulator relates to MagicEngine, though. Will PCFX supercede MagicEngine, or will I need to make a seperate purchase for PCFX?
I couldn't locate a News section for this...perhaps it is in an old archive? |

The PC-FX is a bigger system. It is if I remember correctly, either a 24bit or 32 bit system. It played most Anime Based games. The system is not compatable with the PC ENgine/Duo in any way shape or form, other than the fact that it is made by NEC/Hudson. Pretty sure Hudson had a lot to do with the making of the system anyways.
But PC-FX Games will not run on a Turbo Duo/PC Engine and PC Engine/Turbo Duo games will not run on a PC-FX.
As for the emulator... I am clueless as to wether or not it will play both.. or if it is going to be a standalone emulator.

MagicEngine FX should be a stand-alone emulator. |
