Does anyone know how much RAM the Tennokoe 2 adapter has, and if it's compatible with the SuperGrafx? I've heard it has more than 2K, but I doubt it could be any larger than 8K.
Also, which games support the Memory Base 128? I'm assuming they're all RPGs, but I don't actually know the titles of any compatible games. |

Hi Charles,
If I'm not mistaken, the Ten no Koe 2 has only 2K. It's basically just an external Back-Up Unit for systems which don't have one embedded (CoreGrafx and the like). The Back-Up Booster 1 & 2 are actually AV Boosters + Ten no Koe 2. I vaguely remember someone on the Pcenginefx board a few months ago who had a Ten no Koe 2 plugged to his SuperGrafx...
I don't have a complete list for the Memory Base 128 compatible games, but there was not a bunch of them. I can only think of some titles right now: AIII, Atlas, Eikan wa Kimi ni, Emerald Dragon, Linda Cube, Vasteel 2... Mainly RPG and SLG. Kôei also had a custom Memory Base 128 called Save-Kun compatible with some of their games. I'm not sure if the two models were actually the same, but I'd guess so. |
