I am using Microsoft SideWinder gamepads (non USB versions) that daisy chain together via the gameport. I currently have 2 hooked up and they are both recognized in Windows as well as in other emulators like MAME and SNES9x but for some reason, MagicEngine will only recognize the first controller and not the second. Does MagicEngine (windows version) not use DirectInput for Joystick control? How can I make it recognize multiple gamepads? Is there some way to have the emulator "refresh" the ini file to recognize multiple controllers?
Thanks

The current versions of Magic Engine rely on DirectX 3 API. Some pads may have poor compatibility. It should improve in the next release with native support for DirectX 8. |
