I already have the iso files (.cue .iso & wav files) & I'm trying to burn Valis I on a CD with CDRwin but when I load the .cue file I get an error message:
"error: invalid cue sheet command at line 1. WAVE file is invalid or not CDROM compatible" |

I may be the only person that says this, or I may be one of the very most that say this... iso/mp3/wav whatever the audio format, sucks. Either way, your best bet is to use Daemon Tools (do a search for it) to mount that cue sheet. Once you have done that, you will easily be able to do a cd->cd copy using just about any burning program you wish (cdrwin, nero, clonecd, etc...)
As for CloneCD... it makes a very good copy of the games... it just depends... did you buy the program or use a pirated copy of the program??? clonecd uses a pretty good pirate protection in thier program so if you used a pirated version (and a blacklisted key or crack) you will get a bad rip as clonecd puts in bad chunks into the data that you burn... if you have a legit version of the program, it makes a almost perfect 1to1 copy... almost if not better than cdrwin...

Doing a cd to cd copy using clone cd and an iso/wav mounted with Daemon will give you perfect result.
Doing the same using a physical drive as sources and wrong reading setting will give you a copy full of flaw.
Considering my own drives if i make an ccd image using other settings than "audio" cds , i ll get an image full of corrupted sectors (easily checked using cdmage)
Using Alcohol not any generate image with corrupted sectors but doesn't append the correct pregap values resulting in a messed cd toc.
Stick with cdrwin.
Anyway , not the right board for Pce backups related questions... _________________
