I hear this game mentioned often. Was this a Japanese or US game? I can't seem to find any information about it anywhere. If it's in Japanese maybe it's named differently? It's supposed to be a two player helicopter shooting game. |

The one released on the PC-Engine is named "Kyuukyoku Tiger (J)" and is only 1 player sadly. _________________ What? |

First there was Twin Cobra, then came Raiden!
The name of the game is Kyukyoku Tiger. It's a japanese title.
The PC-Engine version is a little harder than the american Twin Cobra (Spent tons of coins on this one!) that we used to play in the arcades many years ago in that when you lose a life, it takes you back to a checkpoint.
I don't know if there is a difference between the US and japanese arcade versions of the game.
A definite classic! |

So I guess there's no such a game with 2 players that's called "Twin Cobra" or a variation of it? |

Let's say it again this way: Twin Cobra is the international name of Kyûkyoku Tiger, which was almost perfectly converted on the PC Engine (except that it has no support for two-player mode). |

Indeed a very good conversion. Of course there was no reason to exclude the 2 player option since the PC-Engine could easily handle the extra helicopter and its fire power as was proved in other shoot'em ups... This really puzzles me but what the heck, the game is still great the way it is! |
