Hmm, there's no easy way to do it, it must be done manually with a binary file editor, and you need some knownledge about the files format. I'm planning to include a backup ram manager in MagicEngine but I dunno when this will be done. _________________ David Michel |

It's more complex than just a format change, writing a convertor is not really difficult but it would take a lot of time. _________________ David Michel |

Well, now that I think of it, if I had a good set of info on the file layouts and a general idea of what would need to be changed, I could attempt to write a free 3rd-party tool to do a conversion from the old to the new format.
If you'd be interested in this, let me know and I'll see what I can do so you can spend your time on ME and not worry about a converter |

The old format has been obsolete for eons. I can hardly believe anyone is still using it. |

While true to an extent, there are some people who may use the new format yet still have saves in their old file that they'd like to convert over to the new format. I, myself, even still have an old format file with a few saves for games I had started but not restarted since I moved to the new format. |
