I'm a bit disappointed that you'd make such a generalization. There are plenty of people like that to be sure. Some use Linux, but judging from the piracy threads here there are a number of them under Windows as well. The primary issue for the moment is market share, whether or not the developer feels their time is wasted by writing something for a small audience. Not all Linux users are going to be interested in ME certainly.
On the other hand, I don't believe the ME authors are in this purely for the money. If they were, there'd be a requirement to purchase new versions as they are released. dmichel, if it's just the sound code that's holding you back, contact me and I'll see if I can help you out with it. |
