|
|
I have noticed each time I first start MagicEngine Pr1 as well as PR2 (first time windows XP loads) when the emu launches in full screen the interface is garbled. To remedy this I have to load it in window, then change it to full screen. It will stay normal even when I close and restart MagicEngine - no garbled graphics. But if I restart my computer, it returns to garbled state.
Currently using Windows XP Professional SP2
Radeon 9800 XT 256mb Catalyst 4.12
Pentium 4 3.2Ghz HT
2 Gb Ram.
Also Magicengine seems to load a little slow, runs fine, just opens up slow. |

Well, those Beta 4.12 Cat drivers you're running might cause it. Roll back to 4.11 and see if that helps. |

Actually it doesn't help at all. Looks the same. The link below is what it looks like when it first loads with 4.12 as well as 4.11. I even went back to 4.10, and still it looks this way, until I do the little temporary fix of loading in window mode then changing to full screen.

Well this is odd, but interesting. I was fiddling in window mode (after setting it in the pce.ini file) and discovered setting the Full option under video gave me full screen and high resolution. Restarting the computer and loading Magicengine as usual I was presented with a wonderful full screen high resolution interface. So setting window mode in the pce.ini then setting full under the video options gives me what I want just fine, with no more garble. |
