Actually, Gateway didn't have the drivers for this specific model of Laptop, Solo 9000 SVE for win2k. So I checked for the drivers on the Solo 9000 without SVE (whatever that is), and tried the Win2k version. Voila. They work, and ME 1.0 PR2 runs just fine fullscreen. Oddly enough, ME 1.0 PR 3 runs ok only in X1, X2, and X3 sizes.
Come on, David, you can do it. One last push, man! _________________ Proud owner of a Dreamcast, Saturn, Turbo Duo and a registered version of ME since 2002. |

gamepad issue is fixed for me. Thanks!
One issue I've run into is if this exists in PCE.ini:
windowed=y
.
.
.
fullscreen=y
PCE will crash on startup every time. I know it's a nonsensical combination, but a sanity check might be nice instead of a crash. |

No need for a sanity check, the two features are unrelated. The windowed option determines whether ME displays in a window or on its own screen. The fullscreen option is actually a stretching option; it sets whether your aspect ratio is corrected to appear fullscreen (thus stretched horizontally and vertically to match a TV ratio) or is left alone.
The crash you describe is probably due to a bug that crept into PR4. It has been fixed in the forthcoming release. |
