Could you please merge some of important fixes into 99b5 as well which can be included without major changes ?
Those are :
Important CD-Rom bug (you mentioned before)
Tic Tac noise during game play
Noise Sound Emulation (preview beta 5)
Nacro no Yousai (hang problem)
Dracula X (sprite goes blue in the water level)
Shalock Holmes (correct resolution)
well..there are only 6 of them...as for myself, still using win98 (no needed digital sound), prefer old GUI, and system (like everything running in 16 bit mode) this will be a great christmas gift for me ...as I have so many problem with current version....(old PC, OS...) |

Err, let me see if I get it right: you're asking for a new 0.99 release? David rewrote almost everything from scratch precisely because the old source was getting harder to maintain and enhance. Besides, some bugs you're talking about make no sense to me.
Dracula X: you can live with a blue Richter.
Important CD-ROM bug: Which bug? Please elaborate.
Tic tac noise: Huh

If i were you, i would wait untill david releases the final 1.0, and adds the directx driver (and maybe the glide one?), and see what happens.
FYI, my room computer is a p2@400, 64MB ram, 8 GB matrox HD, Diamond monster fusion 16, and... WME. -> literaly, a bomb waiting to explode
(Not the one being used to post this, BTW...) |

Yes, give ME 1.0 some time to mature.
This version has a great potential, it can easily outperform any older version, it just need some time to mature. Right now it may not run as well as the old version on your machine but this will change, ME 1.0 is the very first version in the 1.x series, everything has been changed, it can't work optimaly right away, it will need some tuning here and there but I'm sure it will become a great version. _________________ David Michel |
