If so, what OS are you using? Anyone with Windows ME got this to work? Just curious. Thanks! |

I got WIn2K, and works just fine as long as it's not on full screen mode. Probably the newest direct X will fix it. Dave, if you are reading this, you're almost there. There are some times I wish to give up on ME 1.0 and stick to 99, but then I see the new features and how it works almost perfectly. You can do it, man.
(The bug in Dungeon Explorer 2 with the scrambled picture in the intro is still present, though) _________________ Proud owner of a Dreamcast, Saturn, Turbo Duo and a registered version of ME since 2002. |

Win2K here as well, no problem in fullscreen with the latest PR3. What kind of problem do you have exactly? |

zsnes uses open for that. some software can control the refreash rate, most can't. But you should run it 60 anyways. If your running it at 75Mhz, and the game was designed to run 60, well, 75 doesn't go into 60 all that well. you end up refreashing your screen when the game is in the middle of drawing a frame. _________________ Routers, Security, Delphi programming, and dirty jokes, all in one! |

Yes and no.
I'm running Windows 98se and the ME 1.00 pr1 version booted up fine, but none of the later versions up to and including pr7 will boot up at all. When I double click the ME icon, I get the infamous blue screen of death in fullscreen and in windowed mode. I have all the latest drivers for my motherboard, video card, and soundcard along with the latest version of Direct X installed. Has anyone else running Win98se (if anyone else besides my outdated self) run into this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
I don't know if this will be helpful or not, but here are my comp specs
Athlon XP 2400+
256 megs DDR 333
Ati Radeon 9600 pro 128 meg
Soundblaster Live |

Nevermind I had a corrupt vxd file I had to replace and that did the trick.
Keep up the great work David! |

I have got Win98SE and must admit I am having problems getting any of the ME PR releases to load since PR 1.
I have another PC with Windows ME and it runs (slowly) but it works.
My Win98SE Machine is
AMD Athlon 2800XP+
512Mb RAM
Geforce 4 MX4000 64Mb Graphics Card
Soundblaster Live 1024
All Drivers up to date. It seems to be causing problems with APIC.vxd (whatever that is?)
In PR 4 I also got an Intitialisation Error -21 (but that might have been because I was using dodgy on-board soundcard at the time until I dug out the Live).
So you are not alone |

Don't you mean apix.vxd? It's a component of your CD driver. The file may be corrupted, in which case try to install the latest ASPI driver for your OS, available at Adaptec. |

It is indeed APIX.vxd. I will give it a go and see how I get on.
Cheers |

Angelox, are you getting the fatal exception of the apix.vxd file? If so, check out this link http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=264136 which shows you how to replace the corrupt file using the system file checker. Let me know if it works. |
