HI
I'm a total newbie to pc engine emulators I only have it because I am a BIG castlevania series fan, I dont even know the pc engine console¡
and I don't know what else to say so on with the questions:
I've downloaded the cd game of castlevania rondo of blood but
I don't have any CD sound even that I have enabled the 6 chanels
and the ADPCM sond, I mean the only sound I have is the special effects
I mean the whip, horses, candles, enemies, etc. but no CD music,
what's wrong?
the other question is:
how do I burn the game correctly?
because the only thing I get when I burn
the game is .cda tracks ¡¡¡
Is this the correct TOC on pc engine games?
well that's all sorry for my bad english.
ups ¡¡¡ almost forgot:
Pentium 4 1.4 GHz
sound blaster pci 128
Geforce 2 MX 400
128 RAM
THANKS. |

The music in Dracula X is stored in CD audio format... if you burned the CD incorrectly, you won't get music or the music won't work properly. |

Not sure to understand what you mean.
Where can you see that the CD is only made of CDA tracks? You can't list the content of a PCE disc in Explorer, be it the ISO track or the CDA tracks. If you can see the audio tracks, that probably means your copy was badly burnt.
And besides, how can you play at the game if all the tracks are CDA? |

when u see the audio tracks (.CDA) in win explorer, it does not mean the the cd is bad. when u insert a mixed mode cd (PCE cd's for ex) explorer seeing the 1st audio track, thinks that this is an audio cd. ISO tracks are still there, but explorer does not count them (it is an audio cd, remember?). analyze the disc with fireburner 1.06 and see all the tracks... if u do not see iso tracks with fburner, then u have a bad cd...
www. fireburner.com
version 1.06 ONLY |

Mmm, yes. Actually I remember getting something like this when I was running Win98. Since I'm under Win2k now and can't even see the audio tracks in Explorer, I guess it must have something to do with Win2k only supporting SPTI by default. |
