Hi !

I just download the demo an nothing appears when I start pce.exe and I have this message : "PCE.EXE error -3"

I'm under win XP with a matrox G400

The -3 error means that MagicEngine couldn't initialize the keyboard (DirectX probably sent back an error code). Sometimes this can happen just because you pressed a key while starting MagicEngine (MagicEngine doesn't like to share, it wants the keyboard all for itself ), but if the problem happens all the time, try to re-install DirectX, or check DirectInput config panel, maybe something is wrong.

It happends each time I execute pce.exe (and I don't press any key while it's launching). There's no probleme with DirectInput, I'll try to re-install directX

Non, pas vraiment... normallement cette erreur n'est pas supposée ce produire. Essaie de lancer MagicEngine en mode fenetre et en mode plein ecran, et voit si ca fait une difference.

je n'ai rien changé... je n'explique pas le problème, j'ai téléchargé la demo de la version béta et ça fonctionne... du coup, je me dis que ça vient de là... et qu'est-ce que je fais, je télécharge une autre version pour en avoir la confirmation (donc que mon bug est corrigé par la beta...) je decompacte la 0.98 et là... pouf ça marche... je comprends rien, j'avais essayé à 2 reprises sans succès et là ça semble fonctionner.

Donc merci, je vais enfin pouvoir tester l'émulateur
