Is it possible to record your gameplay with Magic Engine? I see a record option in the main menu, although it is in red. I have checked all the keyboard options, and dont see where one is assigned to that option. I am trying to record a few small videos of certain games. I am hoping that I am just overlooking something.

No, it's not possible yet.

As for the future, I don't know whether this option will provide movie recording or input recording (the latter would be great for walkthroughs and speedruns).

In the meantime, you can probably use dedicated tools like FRAPS or Camtasia.
