|
|
I recently bought the adaptoid (converts N64 pad to USB DirectX pad) and can't get it configured to work with MagicEngine 0.99b5. When I enter the configuration screen it says the joypad is detected. However, no matter what button I press on the pad the configuration screen says I pressed "Joy #1 Down".
Sometimes the GUI will freak out like the down button and start scrolling through the menu as if the down button was being pressed. I tried disabling the analog stick through the adaptoid configuration tool and that didn't help.
I used to have a basic Sidewinder plugged into the game port and it always worked fine. Is this a problem with all DirectX USB controllers and MagicEngine, or just this particular one?
Thanks! |

I'm using a SmartJoy USB adapter (PSX to PC) without any problem. Does your Adaptoid work OK with other emus/games? |

I've used the Adaptoid with FCE Ultra 0.77 and Gens 2.0 and haven't had any problems. The only PC game I've tried it with is Doom ][ for Windows (I don't really play a lot of PC games) and it worked with that as well. |

FYI. The solution David posted to the thread "GamePad Issues" fixed this problem as well.
I changed the "auto_calibration" setting to "50" and now my Adaptoid & N64 controller combination works fine. |
