Whenever I'm using a Microsoft SideWinder controller with another gamepad - MagicEngine will always list SideWinder as "gamepad 1", even if this other gamepad is selected as the "Preferred device" on "Game Controllers" option from Control Panel.

So, basically, MagicEngine force me to always use SideWinder as "gamepad 1". Is it possible to change that ?

No, MagicEngine lists them in the order given by DirectX, it has no option to rearrange the order, what you can do though, is to assign 'gamepad 1' to 'player 2' and your other gamepad to 'player 1', like that you can play with your second gamepad.
