I can't seem to get this to work.

I've tried the command

pce.exe "F:\Games\ROMS\TurboGrafix16\romname.pce"

from the DOS prompt, and everything runs smooth. Game loads up, no problem.

Gamelauncher runs the exact same command -- I've watched it in debug mode -- but the games won't load. Only MagicEngine comes up, no loaded ROM.

I know people have set up Gamelauncher to run MagicEngine and all my paths are correct. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong.

try using a more updated front end like gameEX or QuickPlay
my favorite is gameEX
