I thought the best emulator should have a PSP port for us CFW folks. PSP Hugo is ok, but i have always been a fan of ME since the first time i tried it back in the early 2000's.
Just what you wanted to read huh Dave/Cedric?! LOL!
Anyone else feel the same?
Keep up the great work on this beauty guys! _________________ The J'lord! |

Agreed.
Pce for psp is better than nothing, and psphugo is polished, but it too needs work. I have always found Magic Engine to be SOOOOO user friendly since day one, and although the authors are french( correct me if i am wrong) , their english help files inside the emulators is perfect.
Magic engine looks great, sounds great, sets up in a breeze, is cheap in price, and is just about flawless! Having this ported to the psp would certainly sweet! _________________ The J'lord! |

Why port it to the PSP when they should port it to my Palm Pilot?

Making it for portables would be great, but i'd prefer it on the ds or psp because of the physical d-pad and/or analog stick, over touch screen, or mobile d-pad. Ive played a bunch of games on my iphone, but man i am just SO old school. _________________ The J'lord! |

A PC-Engine emu for the DS might be out in the not so far future.

Oh man MagicEngine on the PSP would be the best. I think the PSP can handle it. I don't know about the DS though.
So what does that Dave have to say about this? Is he still working on MagicEngine at all? |

My emu for the DS is coming along nicely.
Is there any interest in it at all? _________________ What? |

Having it on a DS would be cool, but I'd much rather have it on the PSP's beautiful screen.
Then again, I have a Turbo-Express, and can't say how awesome it would be to emulate the TG-16 CD hardware on that little handheld wonder, but that's just not possible. At least, I don't think it is.

I already did PCE CD emulation on the GBA though Super CD & Arcade card emulation required special flashcards. On the DS everything should work with all flashcards. _________________ What? |

FluBBa does PCE emulation run full speed on the DS? I would be very interested in trying it out. There is a very outdated PCE emulator for the PSP but it does a fairly good job and Hucards do run full speed. It does have a few bugs and problems with some games but so far is the best PCE emulator I have tried on the PSP. I haven't followed DS emulation for a while but last time I checked PCE emulation on the DS wasn't that great. |

The the M3 DS Real for example plays *.pce roms but very crappy.
•The M3 DS Real includes emulators out-of-the-box: .gg [Game Gear], .pce [PC Engine], .nes [Nintendo], and .sms [Sega Master System] games directly through the GBA mode.
•You can buy a slot /GBA expansion pack that allows you to play GBA roms and homebrews with the M3 DS Real.
Anyways I just tried PSPHugo on the PSP and it plays PCE roms pretty sweet. I have yet to try a PC Engine game though. I managed to get Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu Hucard working with this emu too. It would just lock up on the other emu. |
