Hello to all again.

Last night I downloaded the latest version of ME to my brother's laptop to take some games on the road this weekend. Everything was working fine, except when I tried to boot Lords of Thunder, the game was running without sound effects whatsoever. The music was crystal clear as usual, but the sound effects were absent. I tried running a ROM image (in this case Final Soldier), and it worked perfectly. I hope it's because this is an old PII at 400 mhz. running windows 2000. (V98 of ME didn't even want to run at all, heh) and the sound card outputs either the sound from the emulated TG-16 's PSGs or the CD audio. It was the same when using headphones. I will try on my mom's P3 laptop and see what happens, since this one is way better than the first. Has anyone experienced something like this?

PS. I also tried to change the settings in the audio control panel, and made sure digital playback on the CD rom drive was disabled. No changes at all..

Are you booting the game with the Magic System? This built-in CD BIOS has some known problems with PSG sounds. Try using a real Super System Card ROM instead.

Seems like that fixed it, Kaminari-sama. I will try on all three laptops we have and see how my mom and brother like Lords of Thunder and Blood Gear. Not forgetting to check if other issues show up, but I doubt it, since the other two machines are perfectly suited for 3D games.
