i am having troubles with playing originals and clone cd copies of games with my magic engine emu.for some reason the origianals do not load right-i get music before there is suposed to be music playingupon load up,i get skipping of video/music-i mean by this that the music and video do not sync up,and on the clone cd back ups,the game just loads forever,and never gets anywhere,except maybe a black screen.the disc access light on my drive is always blinking,but nothing is being loaded.my other back ups from off the net,work wonderful in this emu,and i can't figure out what is going on.
below are my settings in magic engine 99 b5,and my os is winxp pro.i ahve 256 mb sdram,a yamaha 44x24x44 with 8mb cache,and a 500 mhz celeron HP.

Hi Jamma,

If you're using the Magic System, you should use a real Super System Card ROM instead. The built-in ROM is known to be kinda buggy.

You should also try the following values:

Code:

;
; CD-ROM audio input line
; --
; 0 -> first audio input line
; 1 -> second audio input line
; ...
;
; (see the log.txt file to find out what are the line numbers)
;

cd_audio_input_line=

Code:

;
; CD-ROM drive
; --
; 0 -> first CD-ROM drive [default]
; 1 -> second CD-ROM drive
; ...
;

drive=

;
; CD-ROM drive letter
; --
; (Windows 2000/XP only)
;
; D:
; E:
; ...
;

drive_letter=D:

For the two options above, you shouldn't set both of them at the same time. Either you specify the drive number (Win9x) or the drive letter (WinNT/2K/XP). And the letter needs a colon.

Not sure if that will resolve your problems, but at least you will be on the safe side.

yeah thanks alot-but i found the problem already,it was the games that were burned-they were bad burns,i had to send them back to the kid for new ones.i checked them with cdrwin,and the mode 1 trackes were grey boxes,instead of full yellow circles around the track number.so thats no good.i did change the settings as you said-thanks i did not know that.i love this emulator,i don't even want to try hugo,or any others this has been my fave since the beginning.: )can't wait for the new one-is it almost done?and when will the pcfx emu be done?i can't wait to play those games as well.by the way-this isn't the same peop[le who do the pcfx website is it?if any of you ever need to trade or need back ups feel free to let me know-i appreciate your help.later!
