Sad I need to use a multiple of 800x600, because my monitor's 640x480 chip, or whatever calls up the 320x240/640x480-base modes, is wearing out (The bottom half of the screen is pure black, while the the upper half has a squashed view of what's supposed to be onscreen, and it flickers so severely and jumps that I CANNOT tell what is going on). Magic Engine only supports screen resolutions up to 640x480, so the closest resolution I can use is 400x300! That's well and good, but the view is so small, and there does not seem to be a way to zoom in (I've tried editing all Video Display settings in the PCE.INI).

WHY CAN'T MAGIC ENGINE SUPPORT HIGHER RESOLUTIONS THAN 640x480, ALREADY!? What's so "HARD" about adding that little feature, that a lot of people would be thankful for? I don't get it at all... Is it some French thing? Eh?

OK, get rid of that racist attitude here. We didn't call you names.

Magic Engine supports resolutions up to 1280x1024. Use the latest 0.99 beta 5 and edit your INI file accordingly.

Sorry if I offended... It was really just supposed to be taken as a joke. (Hence the little confused EMOTICON). You know, since the makers of Magic Engine ARE French.

But, then again, maybe you were joking too? If you were, would it have hurt to put in a SMILEY?

Thanks for pointing out that the new Beta added some much needed video config settings. I will go download it and see what happens (Full Screen mode doesn't seem to work on 0.98 or 0.99).

Hi Antraxx,

Well, I only see one smiley in your post and it doesn't appear that funny to me. Moreover, you will agree that 'ALL CAPS MOANINGS WITH EXCLAMATION POINTS ALL OVER THE PLACE!?' usually suggest that the person is more in a bitching mood than in a joking mode - especially on the net. Last but not least, you seemed particularly pissed off at Magic Engine for a lacking feature which in fact is there. Says much about the efforts you made to understand the emulator, don't you think?

Now I hope you don't take it personally, I'm just saying this for the sake of mutual clarification. It was a joke from your part, OK, that's fine by me. Next time put a good amount of smileys to make your point clear and please avoid using all capital letters, that could be wrongly misinterpreted d'oh!

Anyway, welcome aboard Wink
