Hi!
should ME work on XP? for me its hopeless.. :/
the screen goes black, and afterwards some error with some -3 is showing..

I am running WinXP and ME runs just fine for me. Are you trying to boot a cd or a hu-card image?

Is this eror as soon as you load ME? or does it happen at a future time?
Once you load ME you should get a window that asks to boot from cd, load rom, load save game etc.
I would suggest that if you downloaded ME from another site, download it from here to make sure you have the most recent version. Also, if you have downloaded it from here, try to download again, uninstall and reinstall the program, perhaps something went wrong somwhere along the line...

Have you tried different compatibility modes?
