I think this is an important issue, since most of people do their own business while listening to the music rather than listen to it idling.
Is there any possibility that the magicengine player can play music in background in the next version?

I don't know if it will be in the next version but yes this is planned.
For the first version I mainly wanted to test the new sound engine of MagicEngine (this engine use DirectX and can't play music in the background) but next versions will have their own engine and more options too like a playlist and other nice stuff.
