Note: this post is not a bitch, a flame,a complaint, a gripe, a begging, or any such thing. It is nothing more than a suggestion, take it as you will.
I've noticed some emulators out there have WIP pages, and I don't mean like Zsnes, where there's a "what's fixed and here it is so far, download it" - I'm talking more about pages that are WIP *news only* keeping people up to speed on what's happening, not promising anything, keeping the "eager beavers" up-to-date as to what the heck is going on, what's been fixed, added, broken, fixed again, and so on and so forth. I think this would be a great alternative to people asking every 2 weeks (or less) "where's ME 1.0? I want it NOW!! waaaaaaahhh!" It's something that could be updated quickly every 1-3 weeks or so, could be kept brief if too much is going on (fixed 14 bugs today, added xxx support) or get into more detail as time allows. Not to mention it could be a combined PC-FX and ME page as well. And seeing as people have been waiting for, what, over a year now for ME 1.0? I think it's only fair, and in theory would really cut down on there "Where's 1.0" posts.
Feel free to post your opinions, flames will be ignored, Mr. ME Author I hope you take this into consideration and I thank you for your time.
PS. anyone who is wondering what WIP means, it is generally regarded as "Work in progress" or "works in progress" |

I could maintain a WIP page but really there aren't much things happening, v1.0 is mainly a rewrite of the emulator, I increased emulation compatibility a bit and fixed a few PCE CDs but that's all I did emulation-wise, the WIP page would be almost empty, a better time I think will be after v1.0 release as I will have more time to work on emulation and adding new features. _________________ David Michel |
