My computer has an on-board sound card. When I tried to connect the CD-ROM to my sound card with my CD audio cable, I discovered that the sound card has no obvious port to accomodate the cable. Does anybody know of any way to rig it so I can get sound for my CD games using a crappy on-board sound card, or do I have to go buy a standard sound card with the usual port? Thanks in advance for any/all replies.

If you don't have any audio-in plug on your chipset for the CD-ROM cable, that doesn't sound too good since Magic Engine doesn't work in digital mode (for now). Try to get your hand on a cheap SoundBlaster Live or wait for the next release |
