I have seen many threads around this forum that addresses audio problems in windows (XP, ME). I too were having this problem. Now, what I was doing was I was using alcohol 120% to mount the image to create a virtual drive. After everything was said and done I was having problems with audio. The voices would play but the in game sound would not, like ys 1 and 2, the problem I overlooked was that since I was using a virtual drive I didn't think you needed to turn off the digital audio within the device manager. Also, another thing that you ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NEED is the REAL system card 3, SYSCARD3.PCE.. Now I am as happy as flies on sh*t |

Thanks for sharing your experience.
Using the Super System Card ROM is mandatory. We keep saying this again and again, many sound issues are related to the built-in Magic System which is not perfect as of yet.
About the virtual drive, I occasionally use Daemon Tools in digital mode with no problem whatsoever. |
