Hey guys! Got the latest version of ME & the first time & used it well it was working well with my Saitek P2500 gamepad. I could play with my directional pad instead of the sticks. YAY! Then after a while i had to unisntall & reisntall ME that when i started having problems. It detects my gamepad alright but it sets up the control settings using the analog sticks by default. So i tryed setting it up for the Dpad but they dont seem to work. I tryed pushing onm my digital button on the gamepad with no luck, dpad still dont work when configuring controls. It works fine with the sticks but ya know...i tryed deleting the config file, play with the calibrating too...with no luck. Works fine in other games or emuz. Anyways that it for my long story hehe.
Using WinXP with all updates by the way |

If you don't want to mess with it try JoyToKey. This program remaps joystick input to keyboard and mouse events. This way you can leave MagicEngine on it's default keyboard input then use JoyToKey to map the joystick to the right keys. No more worrys about MagicEngine's configuration. I've used this to fix input problems a bunch of games and emulators.
JoyToKey is freeware you should be able to find it from google (current ver is 3.7.7) and its only for windows. |
