I also wonder if it will get fixed. And will the other bugs be fixed? Like the music wont pause bug. The music is suppose to stop when a boss dies. The music is suppose to fade away when you skip the intro animation and go right to the "Press Run!" screen. And the music is suppose to stop right when you die and before the death song plays. And I also noticed when you die, or a boss dies, the game slows down. |

Damn people, just be glad that you are able to play the game when you don't own the system or the game... Dave M is a good person here... he is trying his best to give everyone a Turbo Duo system on thier comp.... don't bash him like that... If you can do better... do it.. otherwise... live with the best you can get... if you can't live with it.. buy Drac X and a Turbo Duo!!!!! IMHO there is nothing better than the actual system!!!

"The music that wouldn't fade": browse the forum for countless topics where the problem has been discussed (and solutions offered) or wait for the next release to support Digital Playback.

It's supposed to be that way. You didn't play the game on a real system? |

You dont have to wait for version 1.0 to play Dracula X without any bugs.
Theres a Magic Engine emulator called "Yame" and its 100% compatible with Dracula X (no blue sprites and etc.) and its also 100% free. So if you want a PC-engine emulator just to play Dracula X, then I suggest you get Yame... |

I agree with you Grey,
Face it, the sole reason a lot of people even bother with Magic Engine is so they can play one of the 2 CD masterpieces : Lords of Thunder (do the isos really exist?) or Dracula X (video ecstacy).
I never realized just how buggy ME was until I tried YAME this week. WHAT A GREAT LIL' EMULATOR. Very simple to set up. Finally I can play Dracula X almost bug-free. No more:
1) blue Belmont on water levels. Fixed.
2) music sync problem. Fixed. I never realized how out of sync the audio was on ME until hearing it on YAME. (i.e. the intro)
3) annoying stoppage every 5 min. YAME is free wo/ it.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to flame on ME. Magic Engine is definitely the most sophitisticated PCE emu. YAME does not provide any special features (hi-res, etc.) but what it does provide is the closest I have come to a true PCE gaming experience.
Dracula X is my sole reason for playing PCE (until I find Lords of Thunder). I tried YAME w/ low expectations going in and was pleasantly surprised. _________________ We do not understand what we do not possess. |

What the heck do you know about the "true PCE gaming experience" when the only game you seem to know on this console is Dracula X? I suspect the "lot of people" bothering with ME so they can play this game have never owned a real PC Engine in their life. Those are the same guys we're always hearing about their rips not working on their 'puter. Talk about a bunch of parasites. |

While Yame is quite a great emulator, I have to see it surpass ME. I don't know about others, but the latest version of Yame has the crackling audio, whether it's CDA, ADPCM or PSG. ME doesn't suffer of any of that. _________________ Proud owner of a Dreamcast, Saturn, Turbo Duo and a registered version of ME since 2002. |

I have had an NEC system since 1992,and have loved it ever since.I actually had 2 NEC systems at one time(TG-16 w/CD,and a SuperGrafx with all the games),but now i am just down to one NEC system, being the American DUO.This is THE only way to get a real NEC experience. _________________ The J'lord! |
