|
|
When ME pr7 loads the rom list, I noticed the list stopped at Toshi Tenso Keikaku Eternal City (it couldn't stop at something easier to remember ) and only includes 2 other games beginning with T (Tiger-Heli, and something else). Most of the S roms are missing also except for Sidearms, and System cards 1.0, 2.0, 2.0, and 2.1.
I noticed the rom path in the pce.ini file has some extra characters after the path (roms="D:\console roms\PC-Engine\@628,629") which didn't show up in pr5 or pr1 (haven't tried any other versions) . If I delete the @628,629 from the path in the ini file and run ME, the extra characters will reappear in the file when I exit ME.
One last thing, If I try running Magic Engine while certain programs are running in the background, the gui will flicker on and off at a really slow rate. This happens with Internet Explorer but it doesn't with M$ Word or Photoshop. |

Hmm, did you enable the 'use_rom_file_name' option? There was a tiny bug with this option that was sorting the game list wrongly, the missing games are somewhere else in the list instead of their true place. Re-download PR 7, I released a second version shortly after the first one with a fix for this problem.

Those extra numbers indicate the position in the ROM list when you exited the emulator, MagicEngine uses them to put you at the same place when you restart the program.
About the GUI flickering try to enable the vsync mode 2, this might help. _________________ David Michel |

Both solutions worked, thanks. Running ME in windowed mode with full screen stretch also fixed the Radeon glitch (where the scrolling background in the gui had black bars). Just out of curiosity, is there any advantage in using full screen mode vs. windowed? |
